Mission Statement – Friends of Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge

Friends of the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge is dedicated to supporting wildlife and habitat conservation at the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge, and in cooperation with the refuge to help broaden public awareness, education and advocacy. The Friends of Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge is a group of organizations and individuals who care about the Refuge and work to achieve our common goals.

Through meaningful volunteer opportunities, we empower community members to actively participate in habitat restoration, wildlife monitoring, and refuge improvement projects. We are committed to providing engaging educational programs that inspire environmental awareness, promote conservation, and connect people of all ages to the importance of protecting our natural resources.
